A bike just like this cost me £130 in 1969! (I was very young and it soon gave way to a 125 Sprite!) In 2006 this one cost £1200 via eBay from a chap in Beverley.
I don't know its history but a lot of well engineered mods had been performed by its previous owner and comparing it's details and lighter weight to similar local bikes it may well have been "works" special? The 37A Villiers has what is thought to be a "Parkinson" alloy top end... but this is not for certain.. can anyone confirm?
I have replaced a well "distressed" alloy tank with an 80's SWM tank and had the engine rebuilt and fitted it with a "Little Demon" electronic Ignition. Steve Gagg has built up an alloy airbox to fit and formed a new alloy silencer. The tail pipe is a proprietory one suitably modified by a good friend.
March 09: New "Cub" replica hubs with new alloy rims, ss spokes and new tyres etc fitted. Original 12mm rear spindle retained but new alloy spindle with much modification by AW fitted to front.
