Argh well, that’s the first trial of the season done... (eventually!!) Seems by all the reactions that it was worth the wait! well judging by your feedback at the end. Not sure how we all did from an organising point of view, but hope we came up to your expectations, as we tried to put a rider friendly event on that was well organised, using a bit of technology! and a huge lump of modern aids from the 21st century... Was a rider once! myself, and know it’s great to have prompt results, and hope on this occasion and others in the future, that the outline result beat you home!! Like to thank you for supporting us, entering up and being part of our trial. Also like to thank greatly Ursula, Kim and Jordan for running the signing on cabin, it was a great help. Thank you’s also go to the setting out team of Andrew Bingley, Gary Kitching and Rupert Tatham, thanks to Ashley Bell too, even though you never got too far! Our timekeeper Stuart Hackett and Club Steward & Fuel Manager John Howson. My biggest thanks go to our observers, especially to those that did two sections and hope you will join us for the Milnthorpe Cup on the 7th March. We had a rare but nice problem!! having too many... but thanks to you all for supporting us. Was great getting about the trial and seeing people enjoying themselves, especially our future riders, grabbing some practice at our various venues. Like to say a thank you to Eric Kitchen also, for coming and supporting us by way of taking pictures, for the various reports etc.
Know the trial was a little easier, but this trial was set out with snow on the ground and ice in the streams, and we choose not to increase our workload greatly and left most of the sections that were already in for the original trial date. Whilst it made it tight down the order, I also believe it made a very enjoyable trial for all. Mind not sure this can be said for Timmy Walker who had a shocker, I believe this wasn’t helped by some stiff observing....(Norman!) but feel a good kick up the a@@ from Ronnie should have him focussed, come the Milnthorpe...
Anyway my first time at the helm for a proper trial for a while, but really enjoyed it! (not sure I should admit that..) nice to finally get the clubs Centenary year underway, and hope you will support us during the year to come, with a mix of motorsport and socials... Any help will still be accepted with open arms, so if you’d like to be part of the team, trials or whatever, feel free to contact us.
New website is up and running now, so hope you will take a peek sometime, few glitches as we get going with it, but in long run we hope it to be helpful, easy to use and full of up to date info. ( do feel free to contact us with your news and info and if applicable we will post it)
www . westmorlandmotorclub.co.uk is the addy
Last but by no means least, a huge thank you to all our landowners, of the various pockets of land that we use, they really have been very tolerant as we have been out on their land for quite a few weeks now....

Once again thanks to all, have a great week, Browny...

Next Northern Centre trial is the Barrow clubs Neil Price Frank Jackson trial on the 7th February

Next Westmorland trial is the Milnthorpe Cup trial on the 7th March, this is a pre entry event and does normally fill fast, start time of the first rider is 9-30am, early entry, late number....
Entries are filling fast.... don't be disappointed!
